Daddy

$40.00

“Daddy are you out there? Daddy, won’t you come and play? Daddy, do you not care? Is there nothing that you wanna say?” - "Daddy" by Coldplay.

While creating "Daddy”, I wanted to build off of my piece "13th" that explores the topic of mass incarceration in America. I attempted to create a piece that reflects the emotion children often go through when separated from their parents. In this image you see a child who appears to have the protection and love from an adult figure. By not showing the body of the adult I wanted to symbolize that the child may believe they have protection, but the love and protection of the adult can only stretch so far when they are not there.

“Daddy” is printed from a hand carved woodblock and printed on heavyweight BFK paper along with archival quality black ink.

Print ships roughly 11"x15” with the image itself being 6”x12”
All prints are individually inked and ran through an intaglio press. Due to this, your print may vary slightly from the print shown.

Print is on Legion Stonehenge Paper, White 90 lb.

Edition of 20.

Print comes signed, numbered and shipped in a flat mailer via USPS with tracking. All sales are final.
