“We stuck in "La La Land" even when we win, we gon' lose”

This line from Jay-Z in his song “Moonlight” is in direct response to the 2016 Oscar Best Picture fiasco. “La La Land” was announced as Best Picture originally before showrunners realized a mistake was made. “Moonlight” was then announced as the true winner of Best Picture.

The characters in the car are Juan (Mahershala Ali) and Little (Alex R. Hibbert) from “Moonlight”
