“You can kill a revolutionary but you can never kill the revolution,” Fred Hampton.

“Chairman” is inspired by the great activist Fred Hampton Sr. who was the chairman of the Illinois Chapter of the Black Panther Party in the late 60s. Like Hampton’s quote above foreshadows, Hampton was taken from this world at the young age of 21 in 1969 fighting for equality and solidarity. Many years after his murder, Hampton’s message and influence still lives on today.

Dimensions of the print and paper are roughly 22” x 30”. All prints are individually inked and ran through a press. Due to this, your print may vary slightly from the print shown in this listing.
